Vanessa

Vanessa’s vibrant energy is something that can’t be missed – from her boisterous teaching style to her ever-changing hairstyles, she is a force to be reckoned with .  Vanessa spent her childhood learning tap and ballet dancing.  In grade school, Vanessa won her school’s public speaking competition, which explains her lack of fear for talking (loudly) and singing (off key) to large groups.

As an adult, she certified at Blanch MacDonald beauty school while learning ballroom dancing as an Arthur Murray Student.  Between her skills on the dance floor and her deep love of all things sparkly, fashionable and fabulous, she was quickly recruited by the powers that be to become a teacher for Arthur Murray studios.  As a teacher at the Coquitlam studio she has flourished as a dancer and taken her cosmetic skills to the next level – between crazy costumes at theme parties and glamorous ballroom show styles, she never disappoints (our students all remember the “blue hair years”).

In her spare time Vanessa works hard to keep fit and find time for her “fur babies” – Frankie the vicious chihuahua and Maizie the kind and cuddly – both rescue dogs who found safety and love in the Hergert Home.   We are both proud and excited to have this dynamo on our team and we can’t wait to introduce you to her!
