BC Health Ministry recommendations – Covid-19
The safety and wellness of our students, Studio staff and families are our first priority.
We are continuing to monitor the daily press conferences of Dr. Bonnie Henry, the BC Government’s Chief Medical Health Officer. In the March 9th and 10th daily press conferences she announced recommendations to assist in the slowdown of the COVID-19 in our communities. Important items of note were:
-Washing hands regularly
-Not touching our face
-Keeping vigilant about cleanliness
-Staying home if we are sick
She suggested that the community temporarily forego some of the everyday things we do such as hugs, handshakes and attending large gatherings in closed environments. As of this day she suggested that closing schools and workplaces would not be necessary at this stage of the outbreak.
Please know we are taking proactive, preventative measures to protect against exposure to the virus at the studio. Our regular health and hygiene practices provide the best defence against the spread of most contagious illnesses.
However, if you are in a vulnerable group (elderly age, severely asthmatic, advanced diabetes or your immune system is quite compromised) we suggest that you avoid the groups and practices at the studio, for now, as a precaution. We are continuing to listen to the daily press conferences hosted by the BC Health officials and will update our policies in the studio as necessary.
